Permanent fillers vs Semi-Permanent fillers

Which would you choose? Permanent fillers or Semi-Permanent fillers?

Permanent fillers

Permanent fillers are just that – permanent. They require surgical intervention for removal. Their active ingredients vary, but most of these types of fillers contain Acrylic Acid. This stimulates an inflammatory reaction within the skin, causing scar tissue to build up around the filler, locking it into place. The fact that permanent fillers rely on an inflammatory reaction makes them unpredictable both in their efficacy and in the possibility of complications.

Semi-permanent fillers

Lip FillersAt DermaShine we only offer Semi-permanent fillers (like Restylane and Juvederm). The results from the procedure usually last between 6-12 months depending on the induvidual. They are made with Hyaluronic Acid which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. HA fillers have an enormous amount of data supporting their safety and can be dissolved immediately with no surgical intervention should it be required.
