What is Silhouette Soft®?
Cosmetic procedures to help slow the ageing process are constantly evolving. Who would have thought twenty years ago that today millions of men and women across the globe would be paying money on a regular basis to have wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox injected into their faces to help stop the march of time? It’s certainly one of our most popular treatments and one that is very effective.
However, as good as wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox are, science marches on which is why we’re pleased to announce that we are now also offering Silhouette Soft treatments, a new procedure developed by Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, the world famous cosmetic surgeon with a long list of A-list celebrity clients.
Silhouette Soft® is often called the ‘one stitch facelift’ and is a treatment that is minimally invasive that addresses two of people’s most common concerns about facial ageing, sagging skin and wrinkles/lines.
What is the difference between Silhouette Soft® and wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox?
When wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox is injected, the signals from the nerves to the muscles in this area are locked. This means that those muscles are unable to contract, causing the wrinkles and lines to relax and soften. Generally, results from wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox last 3-4 months.
Silhouette Soft® however involves the placement of special bio-absorbable threads under the skin which lift and restore the face’s contours. These threads also have the effect helping to stimulate the collagen production in the skin, which can further result in a firmer and smoother appearance in the area of the face treated. Silhouette Soft® results can last up to 18 months.
Both wrinkle relaxing injections such as Botox and Silhouette Soft® are popular and effective treatments. Dr. Faizan Irshad and his team are happy to advise what procedure may be most suitable for your needs.
